Welcome to the Mile High Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators!
President's Message
I have to admit that taking over the position of President for our chapter has given me a couple of sleepless nights. But with the insecurity of wondering whether I can live up to the high standards established by those who have come before me, also comes the encouragement of knowing that if you, the membership, didn’t have faith in me to lead the chapter, I would not be here. So in a word, THANK YOU (ok, two words). Thank you for putting your trust in me to lead our chapter through the coming year. And THANK YOU to the dozens and dozens of volunteers and board members, past, present and future, who are so dedicated to making our chapter one of the best in the nation! I am so proud to be a part of it! Regardless of who holds the title, without the commitment of all those behind the scenes we would not be able to accomplish all the things we do.
The Survey Committee is excited to let the membership know that the 2010 Salary and Benefit Survey invitations have been sent out. It is the participation of firms of all sizes and specialties that allows us to create this invaluable tool in firm administration. The results of the survey can affect your firm even if you don't participate, so be sure to have your data included in the survey results. The survey is available to any law firm administrator/manager. If you would like to participate in the survey and did not receive an invitation, please contact us. Participating in the survey does not commit you to purchase the results; you will, however, get to purchase them at a discounted rate. Survey results will be available in October. Click Here For The Order Form.If you have any questions or concerns regarding the survey, please contact either: Julie Becker, Chair,

Everyone Wins at the Expo!
Whether you were a MHC member, business partner or guestof the recent MHC Business Partner Expo, chances are you walked away from the Expo a winner.
We were excited to see the overwhelming responses following the success of the MHC Business Partner Expo held on August 5th in Denver. Business Partners, members and guests spent the day building relationships, learning about products and services, and finding solutions to their business management needs. Mile High Chapter members left the Expo with wonderful prizes and scholarships for continuing education opportunities.
I would like to personally thank the Business Partner Expo committee for their hard work in putting together this year's Expo. We are a volunteer organization and would not exist but for the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.
In addition, a special thanks goes out to our Business Partners. Their participation in our sponsorship program allows our chapter to fund the many professional and educational resources and member benefits that help us to reach our goal of improving the quality of management in legal service organizations; promoting and enhancing the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and all members of the management team; and representing professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large.

Patrick’s presentation will close our Conference on a high note with laughter and inspiration.
Diversify Your Knowledge through the educational sessions relevant to all aspects of the role of today’s legal administrator. Join us Thursday night for our Welcome Reception at the Four Seasons Poolside Pavilion where you will go on a musical tour throughout the decades with Dallas’ favorite DJ, Johnny DuBiel. Wear your favorite ‘60s, ‘70s or ‘80s fashion statement. It’s a great start to the Conference and presents a wonderful opportunity to meet and network with colleagues.
Friday evening will take us to State Fair of Texas, sponsored by the ALA Dallas Chapter, where there is something for everyone! Come and see ‘Big Tex’ and sample fried Twinkies or the famous Fletcher’s Corny Dog. This will be a fun outing with your colleagues that you won’t want to miss!
